8 Upcoming Car Launches This Festive Season – Tata To Skoda

As the festive season of Diwali inches closer, we will get to see several leading brands introducing their new models in the Indian market

As we enter the last quarter of CY 2025, several leading automakers are ready to launch their new cars and SUVs in the Indian market. The market sentiment is quite high right now due to the reduced GST rates and the upcoming festive season of Diwali, which is usually considered auspicious to purchase new vehicles. Hence, we will see several keenly-awaited cars and SUVs launching in the next 2-3 months. So, in this piece, we will talk about the upcoming car launches this year from Tata, Hyundai, Mahindra and Skoda among the other key auto brands.

1. Tata Sierra

Tata Sierra is likely to hit the Indian roads in Nov 2025 after a long gap of more than two decades. The pre-production model of the SUV was showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Jan. Since then, it has been captured on camera multiple times during the test runs with spy images revealing most of the details of the production ready version. Sierra SUVThe Sierra will be offered with petrol and diesel engines, while retaining its iconic silhouette and vintage styling cues. It is learnt that an all-electric model is also ready to go on sale with Harrier’s battery pack and other components.

2. New-Gen Hyundai Venue

The new-gen Venue will be launched on Oct 24, 2025 in the domestic market. The new-gen SUV will come with a cosmetic overhaul in terms of design, cabin and features. It has been spotted numerous times as a test mule and most of the styling cues have been borrowed from the bigger Hyundai SUVs such as Creta and Alcazar. The new-gen Hyundai Venue is also expected to boast of first-in-segment Level 2 ADAS suite with advanced safety features. Mechanically, it is claimed to carry the same set of petrol and diesel engines.

3. 2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift

The 3-door Thar off-roader will get a mid-cycle facelift with subtle design updates, new cabin upholstery and upmarket features as it goes on sale in Oct 2025 in the country. The majority of the updates will be inspired by the 5-door Thar Roxx. It is likely to come with a 10.25-inch digital driver display and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Under the bonnet, it will continue to be powered by the same 2.0L turbo petrol, 1.5L diesel and 2.2L diesel engines.

4. 2025 Tata Punch Facelift

tata punch facelift The highest-selling model in 2024, Tata Punch, is all set to get a facelifted version with updated styling and new features. The spy images have suggested that most of the exterior changes will be borrowed from the Punch EV, barring the LED tail-lamp cluster which is inspired by the Altroz. The cabin will gain a new 2-spoke steering wheel, 6-airbags and 8-speaker music system among other additions. We expect the SUV to retain the same petrol engine and CNG kit with the ongoing transmission choices.

5. MG Majestor

MG Motor India will launch the Majestor full-sized SUV in Dec 2025 in India. Unlike the other two premium models namely M9 and Cyberster, it will be sold via the regular MG showrooms and not the MG Select dealerships. Already showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Jan, MG Majestor will be the brand’s new flagship offering, positioned above the Gloster, as it will come packed with a plethora of bells and whistles. Under the hood, it will have the 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine with 8-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel-drive system.

6&7. Tata Harrier and Safari Petrol

Tata Harrier & Safari Adventure X Persona Tata Motors will launch the petrol-powered Harrier and Safari in Oct 2025 in India. Both the SUVs will debut the brand’s 1.5L turbocharged GDi engine which develops top power of 166 bhp and highest torque of 280 Nm while coupled with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The petrol version of the Harrier and Safari would be priced lower as compared to the diesel models and it could be ideal for buyers who are seeking non-diesel variants of both the SUVs.

8. Skoda Octavia

The high-performance sedan will use a 2.0L turbocharged TSI petrol engine which will make max power of 262 bhp and peak torque of 370 Nm while linked to a 7-speed DSG auto gearbox. This engine already does duties to the Skoda Kodiaq RS and Volkswagen Golf GTI. The Octavia RS is capable of doing a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 6.4 secs while clocking an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. It has been learnt that the Octavia RS will be sold in limited numbers in India.
