The much-awaited Tata Sierra is ready to make a comeback in its ICE avatar on November 25, followed by its EV version early next year

As the year 2025 is coming to an end, some of the top car manufacturers in India are preparing for the most anticipated product launches. While a few SUVs will debut by the end of 2025, others are slated to go on sale early next year. In this article, we will look at the new SUVs launching soon in India in the next 3 months.

1&2. Tata Sierra ICE & EV

The Tata Sierra is ready to launch in India on November 25. The conventionally-powered ICE version will go on sale first, followed by its EV counterpart in January 2026. Tata Motors has shared multiple teasers of the SUV, revealing some important details. The SUV will get a familiar design seen on the near-production version showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo.

The interiors will get a triple-screen setup, a first for any Tata car. Under the hood, the ICE Sierra will likely be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel and the new 1.5-litre tGDi petrol engine, available with both automatic and manual gearbox options. The Sierra EV is expected to get 55 kWh and 65 kWh battery packs, while channelling power to the rear wheels as standard.

Mahindra & Mahindra has confirmed the launch of the new 7-seater electric SUV on November 27. Dubbed the XEV 9S, it will be the proper SUV counterpart of the XEV 9e (coupe SUV), with a 3-row 7-seater layout. The teaser has revealed that the interiors of the EV SUV will be quite similar to what we get on XEV 9e with a triple-screen setup.

Apart from this, it will also come with a sliding middle-row seat. The XEV 9S will be based on the INGLO platform, likely sharing the 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs with the BE 6 and XEV 9e. The electric SUV will be offered in RWD (rear-wheel-drive) configuration as standard.

4. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

The e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car, will likely be launched next month, i.e. December 2025. The electric SUV was first showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo in its production-ready guise earlier this year. The manufacturing of the electric SUV has already commenced at the brand’s Hansalpur, Gujarat-based facility and the first lot of the India-made e Vitara was exported to European markets in September 2025.
