Here we have listed the 8 upcoming new midsize SUV offerings that will be launched soon in India from brands like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata and others
The midsize SUV segment is all set to witness plenty of new arrivals within the next six months from brands like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata, Toyota, Renault and Nissan. Here we have listed the ICE and electric offerings:
1&2. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara & Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV:

Based on the Heartect-e platform, the first all-electric vehicle from Maruti Suzuki, the e Vitara will be introduced in the coming months. It will be available with two battery packs with a claimed driving range of over 500 km between charges. It will likely give rise to a Toyota sibling, the Urban Cruiser BEV, early next year.
3. Mahindra XUV 700 Facelift:

The facelifted ICE XUV700 will arrive in early 2026 with a slew of cosmetic updates while the interior will see a major revamp with the inclusion of triple screens, a new dashboard and centre control, etc. No mechanical changes are expected as the familiar 2.2L diesel and 2.0L petrol engines will likely be retained.
4. New Gen Renault Duster:

Set to be revealed on January 26, 2026 the new-gen Duster will be based on the CMF-B platform found in the global markets. It will get a packed features list and safety technologies while two turbo petrol engines are expected to be on offer, paired with a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission option. A hybrid variant could join the lineup later.
5. Nissan Tekton:

The Nissan Tekton is another entrant into the midsize SUV segment for H1 2026 and it will share the same architecture with the upcoming Duster. The exterior and interior will have notable changes compared to its French sibling and is heavily influenced by the global Patrol in terms of its styling direction.
6&7. Tata Sierra ICE & EV:

The IC-engined Tata Sierra is said to arrive on November 25, 2025 while its electric iteration will be launched early next year. We do expect the former to be sold with a 1.5L NA petrol, turbo petrol and diesel engine option. The zero-emission version will have a lot in common with the Harrier EV as dual battery packs could be offered.
8. Mahindra XEV 7e:

The XUV.e8 concept based three-row electric SUV is bound for 2026 and it will have several commonalities with the XUV700 as well. We do expect the battery choices to mirror that of the XEV 9e and BE6 and expect the claimed range to be more than 500 km on a single charge.
