Here we have listed the five new midsize SUV launches from brands like Tata, Mahindra, Renault, Kia and Nissan happening soon in India
A heavy churn is approaching the midsize SUV segment in India. Over the next year and a half, a tightly packed launch cycle will unfold – bringing with it new arrivals from top manufacturers including Tata Motors, Mahindra, Renault, Kia and Nissan. Here we have brought you a rundown of the upcoming models:
1. New Gen Renault Duster:

Renault’s brand new Duster is on its way to Indian showrooms sometime next year. The midsize SUV, based on the latest global Duster, will sit on the CMF-B+ platform which is said to be undergoing localisation for Indian production. Unlike the original version, the upcoming Duster is speculated to feature a hybrid drivetrain.
2. Nissan C-SUV:

A compact MPV based on the same platform as the Renault Triber will be followed by a midsize SUV which is being readied as a successor to the Terrano. It will have a lot in common with the upcoming Duster and will be underpinned by the CMF-B+ platform.
3. All-New Tata Sierra

The upcoming Sierra revival will begin life as an electric offering first. The zero-emission version is expected to be introduced before the end of the current financial year and will likely share much of its underpinnings with the Harrier EV. A petrol and diesel variant is on the cards as well a little while later. The combustion-powered range will bring together Tata’s newly developed 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor and the 2.0-litre diesel mill.
4. New Gen Kia Seltos:

Prototypes of the next-gen Kia Seltos have been regularly spotted undergoing test runs on Indian roads. An official timeline from Kia remains undisclosed but the new model is widely expected to reach showrooms by 2026. A full overhaul is likely as the exterior styling will see a comprehensive rethink and the cabin will be completely redone. Reports also continue to indicate the possibility of a hybrid variant joining the lineup.

Mahindra has initiated development of the XUV700 facelift with a market introduction likely in the first few months of 2026. The mid-cycle update is set to deliver subtle visual tweaks on the outside along with a refreshed interior and a longer list of features. The existing powertrain lineup – the 2.0-litre petrol turbo and 2.2-litre diesel – is expected to remain untouched.
