Brands like Mahindra, Tata Motors, Renault and Nissan are all set to introduce new midsize ICE SUVs over the next 3-4 months in India

The midsize IC-engined SUV segment will welcome as many as four new models over the next three to four months and all of their launches have been confirmed. Automakers like Mahindra, Tata, Renault and Nissan are looking to expand their market share by bringing in new models and here we have listed them:

1. Mahindra XUV700 Facelift:

The refreshed Mahindra XUV700 will arrive in early 2026 with updated styling and an all-new cabin layout. Inside, expect triple displays, a redesigned dashboard and centre console and upgraded materials. Powertrain options will remain unchanged – continuing with the proven 2.2L diesel and 2.0L turbo-petrol engines paired with both manual and automatic gearboxes.

2. Nissan Tekton:

Nissan is preparing to re-enter the highly competitive midsize SUV market with the Tekton – set to arrive in the first half of 2026. While it will be built on the same platform as the upcoming Renault Duster, the Tekton will distinguish itself with a Patrol-inspired design that leans heavily on a more upright stance. The Tekton is expected to serve as the brand’s most important launch in years.

3. New Renault Duster:

In the season of comebacks, Renault is bringing its most popular nameplate locally the Duster back on January 26, 2026. The all-new model will sit on the CMF-B architecture which is heavily localised and it will be loaded with modern features and technologies. It will likely feature two petrol engines – mated to a manual or an automatic transmission.

4. New Tata Sierra ICE:

Already unveiled, the new-gen Tata Sierra will be equipped with a brand new 1.5L petrol engine in its NA and turbo guises with the latter producing 168 PS and 280 Nm. It will be accompanied by the familiar 1.5L diesel mill coupled with manual and automatic transmission options.

Set to go on sale on November 25, it boasts an appealing exterior taking inspiration from the original Sierra and a packed interior. Courtesy of a long wheelbase, it will be high on practicality as well. The equipment list comprises triple screens, a four-spoke steering wheel, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof and more.
