Here we have listed the 4 confirmed new electric cars that are arriving in India in the coming months from brands like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Toyota and Kia

Before the closure of this financial year, the electric vehicle space will see plenty of action across different price spectrums as a host of new models are waiting in the pipeline. Here we have brought you a rundown of the four confirmed new electric cars from Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Toyota and Kia in India:

1. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara:

Expected to reach showrooms by September 2025, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will become the brand’s first all-electric offering and will be sold through Nexa’s premium retail chain. The five-seater electric SUV will be introduced in three trims – Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Equipped with DC fast-charging capability, the battery can be replenished from zero to 80 per cent in approximately 50 minutes.

It will be available with two battery configurations – a 48.8 kWh pack and a larger 61.1 kWh unit. The latter is projected to return a certified range of over 500 kilometres on a full charge. While international iterations of the model offer an all-wheel-drive layout, the version planned for India is expected to feature front-wheel-drive only.

The electric SUV has already been confirmed for a market launch in H2 2025. The five-seater shares its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.

3. Tata Sierra EV:

Tata Motors took the wraps off the production-ready Sierra at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi earlier this year as well. The SUV is expected to enter showrooms before the ongoing financial year concludes with the fully electric version arriving ahead of its internal combustion counterpart. It will have several commonalities with the recently launched Harrier EV.

Kia is in the process of readying the all-electric version of the Carens Clavis for the Indian market. The EV is expected to feature minor cosmetic distinctions to set it apart from its ICE sibling. Battery options currently offered on the Hyundai Creta Electric – 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh packs – could also be carried over with the latter offering a range of over 450 km.
