2026 Skoda Kushaq gains a number of cosmetic and features updates while the familiar 1.0L and 1.5L turbo petrol engines continue
Skoda Auto India has introduced the facelifted Kushaq in the country, bringing noticeable design updates, a significantly expanded feature list and clearer differentiation across trims. The refreshed midsize SUV continues to be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform while focusing on premium styling, wider technology access and improved value across the range.
At the front, the updated Kushaq receives redesigned headlamps paired with new LED daytime running lights that are connected via segmented lighting elements, similar to Skoda’s global models. The grille has been reworked and is now accompanied by a revised bumper featuring angular silver accents, giving the SUV a sharper and more premium appearance. Skoda’s signature badge continues to sit on the bonnet.
The rear sees a major visual change. The conventional Skoda badge has been replaced by illuminated ‘SKODA’ lettering stretched across the tailgate. This is paired with split LED tail-lamps that mirror the segmented lighting theme used at the front, enhancing the facelift’s visual identity, especially at night.

Inside, Skoda has significantly upgraded the feature list, particularly on the higher trims. The Kushaq is now offered in Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo variants. Prestige and Monte Carlo trims introduce a segment-first rear seat massager, a panoramic sunroof, a 26.03 cm digital cockpit and front parking sensors as standard. Additional highlights include ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, an upgraded sound system with amplifier and subwoofer, and a 25.6 cm touchscreen infotainment system with an AI companion powered by Google.
The Monte Carlo trim adds sportier touches such as exclusive badging, red grille accents, an illuminated front grille light band, blacked-out exterior elements, dual-tone roof, sequential rear turn indicators and leatherette upholstery. The Prestige variant focuses on a more elegant theme with chrome grille ribs, premium beige interiors and a cleaner overall look.

Powertrain options remain unchanged. The Kushaq continues with the 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines. The larger 1.5 TSI variant now benefits from rear disc brakes. Transmission choices include an 8-speed torque converter automatic and a 7-speed DSG, reinforcing Skoda’s focus on proper automatic gearboxes in the segment.
Safety continues to be a strong point with six airbags offered as standard and over 25 active and passive safety features on lower trims, expanding to more than 40 on higher variants. The Kushaq also carries a five-star safety rating, along with features such as rain-sensing wipers, rear defogger, automatic climate control and Skoda’s Supercare package covering four years of warranty, roadside assistance and free services.
