Honda Cars India has achieved a significant milestone as the sales of the Elevate SUV has surpassed one lakh units globally. The model is exclusively manufactured in India at HCIL’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan.
As for the sales figures breakup, since its launch, Honda has sold 53,326 units of the Elevate in India, while 47,653 units have been exported to export markets like Japan, South Africa, Nepal, and Bhutan as of January 2025.
Notably, the Elevate is the first-ever Made-in-India Honda model to be exported to Japan. The SUV is now Honda’s highest export contributor, helping HCIL grow its export business by 65% in FY23-24 and by over 92% in the ongoing financial year (April 2024 – January 2025).

Honda Elevate sales in India: Which variants do the Indian customers prefer

The Elevate has resonated well with Indian buyers, with a strong preference for higher variants. The top-spec ZX trim, featuring Honda’s ‘Sensing’ ADAS suite accounts for 53% of total sales. Additionally, the automatic CVT variants (available in V, VX, and ZX trims) have found favour with 79% of buyers. Interestingly, 22% of Elevate buyers are first-time car owners. Meanwhile, over 43% of customers have added the Elevate as an additional car in their household.

When it comes to colour choices, Platinum White Pearl remains the most popular (35.1%), followed by Golden Brown Metallic (19.9%), Meteoroid Gray Metallic (15.4%), and Obsidian Blue Pearl (15.3%). Other shades, including Lunar Silver, Radiant Red, and Phoenix Orange, make up the remaining 14.3%.

Honda Elevate: Powertrain and features

Under the hood, the Honda Elevate is powered by a 1.5-litre NA petrol motor, delivering 119 hp and 145 Nm of peak torque. It can be had with a 6-speed MT or a CVT automatic, with fuel efficiency figures of 15.31 kmpl and 16.92 kmpl, respectively.
Feature-wise, the Elevate comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display, wireless phone charging, cruise control, and a single-pane sunroof. On the safety front, the SUV includes up to six airbags, a LaneWatch camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and Honda’s ADAS suite.
The Honda Elevate is available in four trims: SV, V, VX, and ZX, along with special editions such as the Apex Edition, Black Edition, and Signature Black Edition. Prices range from Rs 11.69 lakh to Rs 16.73 lakh, ex-showroom.
