Italian luxury motorcycle brand Ducati has expanded its portfolio in India with the launch of the DesertX Discovery, priced at Rs 21.78 lakh, ex-showroom. While the model remains same in terms of design, features and powertrain, it gets a few upgrades in terms of standard accessories. It is available in Thrilling Black/Ducati Red livery and is available across two variants namely, standard and Rally. Here’s a look at what’s new on offer.
Ducati DesertX Discovery: What’s new
As part of this package, you get a host of accessories as standard. These include enhanced hand guards, an engine guard, a radiator grille, and an aluminium sump guard as well. Besides that, you also get a taller windshield, centre stand and heated grips for adventure runs in cold climates.
In terms of tech nannies, it comes with multiple ride modes, traction control, cruise control, wheelie control, power modes, bi-directional quickshifter among others.
Ducati DesertX Discovery: Engine and hardware
The Ducati DesertX Discovery retains the same engine from the standard model, featuring a 937cc, liquid-cooled L-twin motor that belts out 110 hp and 92 Nm of peak torque. This powerplant comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
As for the hardware, it comes equipped with 46 mm adjustable upside-down forks at the fork and a monoshock unit at the rear that is also adjustable. Stopping power comes from 320 mm dual discs at front and a 265 mm unit for the rear.
